For international LEGO® sellers, the United States represents a massive and passionate market. However, due to recent changes in US trade policy, international sellers must now prepay duties before parcels cross the border. Users that ship via Canada Post can now use Zonos to automatically prepay U.S. duties and access shipping labels again, allowing Canadian LEGO® sellers to confidently ship to US customers again.
Sellers that ship their orders via Canada Post can now connect their Zonos account as well. Your Zonos account allows you to prepay U.S. duties when shipping to the US. In this blog post, I'll explain how you can set up your Zonos account to work with your Bricqer account.
What is Zonos?
Zonos is a cross-border commerce technology company that specializes in landed cost calculation. It automatically and accurately calculates all the duties, taxes, and tariffs for international shipments. Zonos will collect duties from your business and remit them directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on your behalf.
How to create a Zonos account
In order to connect Zonos to Bricqer, you will first need to sign up for a Zonos account and obtain a Zonos agreement. Make sure to verify your e-mail and enter your business details after sign-up. In order to use your Zonos account with Bricqer, you will also have to set up a valid payment method so Zonos can directly invoice you for the duties.
How to connect Zonos to Bricqer
After you've set up your Zonos account, you can connect it to your Bricqer account.
First, you will need to copy your Zonos Account Key. You can find your Account Key by logging into Zonos and going to Settings. There, you will see your Zonos Account Key.
After you have gathered your Zonos Account Key, you can log into Bricqer, go to Settings, click Canada Post and paste your Zonos Account Key.
Start shipping to the US again
Now that you've connected your Zonos account to your Bricqer account, you can start shipping to the US again! When you create a new Canada Post shipment, Bricqer will automatically pass your Zonos Account Key to Canada Post. Zonos will then calculate the duties and remit them directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on your behalf.
